This supplement is also ideal for those on a weight management programme who want to maintain a healthy heart, cholestrol and to maximise the body's energy levels.
Contains the important phospholipids choline and inositol, which helpt to prevent arteriosclerosis and protects against cardiovascular disease. Also helps to repair liver damage caused by alcoholism. With vitamin E and CoQ10, this makes an unbeatable combo.
It is important to follow certain regimes such as a good diet and adequate exercise to feel young and healthy. Antioxidants are the key factors to help maintain a healthy heart and a healthy body. Lecithin with Vitamin E plus CoQ10 from HealthAid works synergistically to help the efficient transport of fats through the blood vessels, to combat free radical damage and to provide cells with maximum energy levels.
Helps the Heart Lecithin plays a number of roles in heart health, including the lowering of total and LDL cholesterol levels. The choline delivered by lecithin can help reduce high homocysteine levels in the blood - which can be associated with artery damage. The choline and inositol in lecithin protect against hardening of the arteries and heart disease by promoting normal processing of fat and cholesterol. Lecithin itself helps to bind fats and cholesterol to water so that they can pass through the body rather than cause a potentially harmful build-up in the heart or liver.
Brain Power Research has found that lecithin and choline may improve memory, especially mild memory loss associated with getting older. Lecithin and other choline-containing compounds help enhance memory in normal adults, particularly in those individuals having relatively poor memory function to start with. Lecithin may help reduce those “senior moments” through choline-charged foods.
Liver Health Lecithin and choline are essential to liver function and health. Even a few weeks on a choline-deficient diet may results in a fatty liver, which can lead to cirrhosis and/or to cancer of the liver. Besides contributing choline, lecithin also appears to directly protect the liver from cirrhosis due to excessive alcohol consumption.
Weight Loss: As lecithin is enriched with the phospholipids; choline & inositol, they assist in the efficient breakdown of fats. It helps to facilitate fats through the body more efficiently, which can help to metabolise fats easier and quicker therefore people may not put on weight so easily.
Vitamin E and Alzheimer's
Findings presented at the American Academy of Neurology 60th Anniversary Annual Meeting in Chicago show that people with Alzheimer's disease who take vitamin E appear to live longer than those who don't take the vitamin, (more research is needed to confirm these findings).
For the study, researchers followed 847 people with Alzheimer's disease for an average of five years. About two-thirds of the group took 1,000 international units of vitamin E twice a day, along with an Alzheimer’s drug. Less than 10 percent of the group took vitamin E alone, and approximately 15 percent did not take vitamin E.
The study found that vitamin E actually boosted survival in people with Alzheimer’s. In addition, the study found vitamin E plus an Alzheimer’s drug may be more beneficial than taking either agent alone.
Lecithin 600mg with Vitamin E plus CoQ10 may be of benefit to;
• Facilitate the removal of fats in the body for efficient weight loss
• People who have high cholesterol levels and poor heart conditions
• Those who want to increase the their energy levels for maximum energy release
